Buying a new front door, need suggestions
 

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a new front door, I have been told from a few friends to get a Therma-True door, I am not sure the benefits of vinyl over steel door but I do know I want an energy efficient one.

Does anyone have any brands, tips or suggestions of things to think about when buying a new door?

I guess you recommend a fiberglass door?

I haven't used them but they look real nice.

i agree, im heading over to the box stores tonight to take a look.

If the door faces south it might need to withstand some high temps.

i believe it faces west but i have to verify

I have put in a couple of fiberglass doors and they are really nice. Also be aware that if you were thinking about a storm door most companies will not warranty the door if you put a storm door over it because of heat buildup.

That seems to be my problem along with facing south. This spring I'll put in a new wood door so I guess I'll remove the storm door. The paint on the present wood door did not hold up.
