- There are so many companies out there that provide historic window restoration. Has anyone had a good experience with a company they could recommend? We are buying a 1912 house in Virginia and really want to save the original windows.

I would talk to your local lumber yard and see if anyone with a good reputation does this work in your area.

Many times a milwork shop will do this type of work and they have all the right tools.

Ask around and talk to more than one place...go do some visiting.

Thanks for the tip. I will do that tomorrow. Have you heard of or had any experience with either Haas or Historic Structures? Historic Structures is in DC and I believe Haas is somewhere near Richmond.
