How do I remove this knob?
Folks,
I am having problems removing this door knob. https://picasaweb.google.com/116812378183066102939/Door_knob?authkey=Gv1sRgCPbxq8OZzIuY4AE#
What is the trick? Thanks |
I'm not sure but there is a slot in the ring in the top left corner of your photo. Try prying it off with a flat screw driver.

check on the bottom of the trim plate, there should be a small slot there, put a thin bladed screwdrive , or something similar, in there and depress a spring loaded latch. The plate should just slide off. If the slots not there , ask nester, he knows EVERYTHING You can usually find him on the diy network forum ,if hes not here

Elbo is correct. The wire loop is held in place by a small slot. Press the loop toward the middle and pry off the plate. Once it is off, you can depress the small rectangular keeper on the shaft and hold it down as you push the knob assembly out the other side.
This is NOT Lawrence Livermore stuff, ya know? |
I miss the days when they just had two screws.
