Fireplace handle repair/replace
 

1st timer here ,on site .Need to know about square cutout in bolt-end 1/4 '',with keylike end ? Tool off 1st nut ,then twisted 2nd right off! ! I need too remove 2 fender washers to make work ,but picture and insight would be cool especially since I.cleaned a fellows pipe etc. after a few pints,charity work ,and now trying to help a fellow out Anyway.

Your post makes little since. How about a picture so we can see what it is your trying to do.

Maybe a few more pints would help you clarify things.
