Color choices for siding/trim based off the brick... help?
Posted Jul 12, 2009 11:01 PM
So my wife and I just bought our first home. The problem with it is, the colors of our house, (in our opinion) are hideous: (here's hoping img tags work) http://lh3.ggpht.com/_9fMPauIIX5I/Sl...8/100_0523.JPG Along with a ton of the current tenant's junk. We figured we'd paint the siding/trim, but are having a hard time getting colors that work with the (ugly) yellowish brick. This is a quick mockup of the best we've come up with so far: http://lh5.ggpht.com/_9fMPauIIX5I/Sl...ur%20House.jpg Our style is modern/contemporary despite the house not being that. Hey it's our first, the dream house doesn't come til, #3, right? Anyway, any suggestions? |
Blue might look good with the yellow. It's oposite yellow on the "color wheel".

I like your selection - looks pretty contemporary, despite the non-contemporary style of the house :)
You might also try slate blue for the body, and muted orange for the shutters. Yelena |
There are designs and decorations will add them soon to Minty
