Emulsa-bond

Had a chalking issue on steel siding, even after two very heavy scrubs with TSP. Got a rec from various forums about using emulsabond on the first coat. Did that.

The coverage was fantastic. I can't say I notice any discoloration. Why exactly is it necessary to do a top coat over the emulsabond coat? Trying to save some cash, but I'll spend if there is some reason to cover the emulsabond coat.

I used Sherwinn Williams Resiliance in a flat, if that matters.

Typically two coats is recommended for proper sheen, mil thickness, and coverage.

The second coat of Resiliance does not get the additive.

Welcome to the forum.
