Default how to identify what kind of paint you have?

hey guys brand new here and i have a question.
i am refinishing a set of skii's for a display in my classroom (im an assault climbers instructor in the USMC), i painted the skiis black and white with a no name spray paint. the info number on the back routes you to valspar, and they really didn't know anything about it, but they said they think it's an enamel. the only thing on the can that i think identify's it is that it says "contains acetone & petroleum distillates" so before i clear the skiis i did a test on a box, the clear (clear enamlel) appeared to bubble pretty significantly so i am assuming the paint isn't an enamel any help with what kind of paint it is would be incredibly helpful. the product number is 63002, but valspar didnt seem to know much about it. thank you
Adam

Sounds to me like you have an oil base enamel. If you stick with an oil clear, I don't see any reason why you should have any problems.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck with your project!
