I used a lot of different paints including behr. The one I'am sticking with and only use in my house is pittsburg paint grand distinctions. Nice paint to work with, covers great, no lap marks and very durable. I use a 3/4 inch nap for the roller and always use a good primer first. For the walls I would reccommend a eggshell or satin finish for LR DR areas and semi gloss for bath and kitchen. Grand Distinction By Pittsgurg cost a little more but well worth it.

Bob: 3/4 inch nap might be what you'd want to use on a heavily textured wall/ceiling.

On a smooth wall or ceiling, I wouldn't use anything thicker than a 3/8 inch nap roller.
