Default lead paint

Saw a billboard yesterday, depicting a gallon of paint being poured into a cereal bowl. The heading said" Over 1 million children are affected by lead paint daily"

My thought was, Wouldn't the Fruit Loops ( or whatever) be affecting the children even more?

LOL, it's lead poising versus diabetes.

I think both are a problem.

Lead danger in paint is overblown, just like asbestos in floorcovering.

lead based paints if consumed by children can affect their neural development and will retard the normal growth of brain. Use substitutes of lead based paints to prevent any health hazard.

To my recollection you can not even buy lead based paints in 2012? I could be wrong but I don't think so.

Lead in paint was banned in 1978.
