What are some ways to remove automobile oils from garage floors prior to painting?

I use brake cleaner and a rag but then again I am not a pro but it does clean them good.

How much brake cleaner does it take?

Just spray and wipe. Comes off pretty quickly. I buy a few cans from Wally world and just keep them on hand.

I use liquid detergent for washing my clothes but I always keep a box of powdered detergent to use to soak up oil stains on my concrete. Hose it off and all signs of the stain are normally gone.

I have some anti-freeze and motor oil on my garage floor. The concrete was finished pretty smooth by the builder. I do NOT want to use harsh chemicals, any advice?

They have a few various products for removing oil. What type of paint are you considering? A epoxy is a nice finish for a garage floor. If it is really bad a floor grinder might be advised.

Tape a piece of clear plastic to the floor to check the moisture content of your floor. If it is newer concrete you will want to do this to make sure you are not going to have product failure.

It is very obvious thing that there will be lots of stains of oil in floor of garage. There are so many cleaning materials and machines available in market which cleans your problem from soul and there are some paints also which could help you to less stains.
