Default paint over aluminium --I think

so I have two doors that I think are the type one buys at home depot
They are at least 12 years old --they have been mine 6 years and i have washed them-- bleached them- blah blah on the cleaning---I live in a mildewy climate in the south --now they are a mess--i think they are aluminum--what can i paint them with now can't afford to replace
THANKS

Pictures would help but I'm sure you would need to either sand or sandblast, then a good coat of primer, then repaint.

I know you said you can't replace them but how bad of condition are they in?

Sand them down, fix dings with bondo, prime and paint.

Default Probably not aluminum but probably an alloy

Probably not aluminum, but they are probably just a cheap steel door.

Sand them down to remove the bad paint, bondo if necessary.

Prime with a rust inhibiting primer and paint with exterior house paint probably a Satin or enamel finish.
