painting old wood fence
 

I have a very long and very old wood fence. As far as I can tell, it isn't painted or treated with anything (it has a grayish color). I can't imagine sanding the entire thing as it would take me forever. Can I tung oil it without sanding it or cleaning it beforehand? Can tung oil be sprayed with a paint sprayer? Am I going about this the wrong way?

I would use a clear wood preserver not Tung oil for this one. Tung oil would be far to expencive. And yes it can be sprayed.
