Painting a wardrobe

Should I use oil or acrylic to paint a wardrobe? Does it matter?

What is the material you are coating?

What wood is best to use that I could paint on with just normal matte emulsion type paint, and do you know where I could get a cheapy wardrobe, except ebay?

I have an old Wardrobe which desperately needs to be painted. My confusion is should i remove the remaining paint completely before painting or i can continue painting over it? I need a smooth touch..

So you are asking how to paint cabinets while advertising DIY Cabinets? Either you are really confused or are a spammer?

I always prefer acrylic paint. They're fast-dry and long-lasting. :)
