priming new plaster
my name is Jim, I have a question for any one who knows, should newly plastered walls and ceilings be primed

I don't about oil based primer. You can seal it with a couple coats of lite color water based paint mixed with 50% water.

New plaster is porise and can suck the moisture out of the paint making it dry to fast and blotchy.
