protection

I have settled and opted to paint rather than stain me cabinets white. So what can I put over the white paint to give it a nice protective coat. I was thinking polyurethane but am pretty certain it will yellow over time. I once refinished a painted desk with a coat of clear spray paint and it worked perfect but I am afraid that if I spray paint inside my house I will be high for weeks. I have 2 kids so I really feel that some sort of clear coat is necessary, ideas?

Some of the best kitchen cabinets I have ever seen were sprayed with an automotive paint with a clear coat applied over it. Pure perfection.

I know this is a little late, but there's no reason that a good quality paint shouldn't perform well. I'm currently spraying a kitchen as we speak with Muralo Ultra in semi. It's a great paint that should serve the customer well for years to come.

I have always liked painted cabinets. They just look crisper and cleaner to me.
