I wasn't sure which subforum to put this one in, so I stuck it here, for maximum exposure.
I just picked up a steel truck bed tool box and steel pipe rack for my new work truck. They both have a little bit of rust, the pipe rack more so. I want to get them cleaned up, repainted, and looking sharp before I put them on my truck.
So what is the best way to remove the rust, prime, and paint them? What type of primer, and what type of paint?
I need to DIY, and I want to do it right, so that it looks good now and next year, and the rust doesn't come back.
