Business picking up for anyone?

Everyone I know seems to be remodeling right now.

I picked up a decent job but nothing to write home about. Just been trying to finish up a bunch of projects around the house.

At least you're staying busy though.

Working tomorrow. Did a big job a couple of weeks ago. Enough work for a retired guy.

Could be busier for the next two weeks, and then I'm slammed. Everybody wants there painting done in July and August. I'm doing estimates like crazy, and also turning down jobs that I could have used earlier in spring. The normal feast & famine cycle of the trades seems to be more profound this year than most.

I'm glad you're getting work, but sorry it has to be so hot this year.

Here's a laugh. I pulled an old Teamster Pension for 10 years worth of work and got a scary notice in the mail recently. It said that if I work more than 60 hours a month, they are going to punish me by stopping my $155.50 Teamster Pension permanently.
