Iron railing post repair
 

I have three inch iron railing posts on my (outside) brick stairs. One of the posts is loose. There is no attachment to the brick outside of the post (no L-bracket, etc.). Obviously, the posts are attached in some way from underneath. Does anyone know how they are attached and how to tighten/repair them?

Paul, can you post a pic of the post. It would help to see the area you are talking about.
