sponging: which color goes on first?
im going to be sponging a hallway a lite brown. im curious which way is better?
lay down a white then sponge brown?
or, lay down brown and sponge white?
which way would you do it and why?
im not looking for a severe coverage of brown.

I would do 2 samples on 2 seperate sample sheets or poster board. That will tell you which one you like the best.

I've always painted the dark color first and sponge the lighter color second... i've been painting for over 20 years
