Ge Dc Compressor Fan Motor Test
 

How do you test a refrigerator compressor motor it is a DC type for a GE profile, with a 9 volt battery? Do you need any special tools?

What color wires does the fan have? If you have Red/Pink/Yellow/White like I did, try running a lead from the positive pole on the battery to the red or the pink, with the negative on the white. If nothing, try giving BOTH red and pink positive, with negative on the white. I think that's what I did when testing mine...can't remember now.

No special tools. Well, maybe some small alligator clips to hold the leads onto your battery.
