How to Keep a White Ceramic/Glass Cooktop Looking Like New
I have this cooktop in white
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/images/pro...E258733_S4.JPG As a bachelor, I rarely use my wonderful Whirlpool/IKEA cooktop for cooking but when I have done I have noticed scuff marks from my metal pans. I try to let the heating element(s) thoroughly cool down before cleaning the surface. I was wondering if there were a ceramic sort of "pan cradle" that would heat the pan while saving my cooktop's white finish. |
Hi,
Some ceran cook top cleaning and conditioning tips... http://www.applianceaid.com/cerantop.html If the pot doesn't touch the ceran glass full the heat will not be transfered from the element to the pot. Ceran ( glass ) flat cook tops. Ceran cook tops can be easier to keep clean as there is no bowls or rings to worry about, but your cookware must have a very flat bottom. http://www.applianceaid.com/_borders/potsandpans.gif Whirlpools FAQ might help as well, linked here. jeff. |
