Touching up chrome on a 1950s oven
 

Hello all:

On one corner of the stove the chrome is peeling
and blistering. I am trying to find a repair kit for it. I searched
internet but could not find anything.

Any ideas?

you should be able to find a few companies like this one.

I know that stripping and replating the whole top is an option. Being an engineer, I dealt with plating outfits for many years, and can approximate what they will charge. I am trying to avoid these cahrges :)

I don't think there is any shortcuts.

There is no brush on or spray on quick fix. It will need to be stripped and replated. It will never hold up with the heat if you try it any other way.
