vacuum cleaners
 

Looking at a new vacuum cleaner. Need it to be light weight, maneuver well, and pick up well off of dense carpet. Trying to keep it under 22 pounds.

Have looked at Hoover and Eureka under $200. I have also heard the Oreck sweeper is also really good but have not gone to that store yet.

I too like Consumer Reports. I even had a subscription for several years.

But guess what? If you go online, you have to pay extra to use the online version! What a rip!

Someone does not check out the free stuff at the library...hmmm.
Yup, go to the local library, they usually carry the magazine.
I know my town of 4000 folks does.

You would be suprised at what you can learn there.:D Did I mention free???

I think the cost of gas to the library and back might be as much as a subscription. Their reviews on vacs are great i like how they slam the $1400 dollar ones
