Default Whirlpool stove/oven repair

I have an old Whirlpool, one of the apartment size models that have only one large burner, thats at least between 15 and 18 years old. I'm in Canada and the model number on the oven is either WVE25000 or WUE25000, can't tell whether its a U or a V. I'm trying to gain fgfg access to the inside of the front panel. I not only want to take the glass off and clean it but the screws that hold the knob mechanism in place have come off and fallen in behind the front panel. Even if I could find the right size screws, there is no way to screw them back in without removing the glass and the printed control panel. Anybody know how to open the front panel up?
