Hardwood varnishes
 

Hi all,
Quick question.
I'd like to add a coat of water based varnish to a hardwood floor that I think has oil based varnish already on it. Possible?

no problem, just sand the floor lightly to give the new finish something to adhere to. Of course, you must clean any wax off the floor and vacuum well. Water base finish can be applied over oil finish and vis-versa, so long as the previous finish is cured ( dried for a couple of days )

Thanks. So it's not like applying latex paint on oil, right?
