HELP Mobile Home floor repair
 

Due to a leak I need to put in a new floor and I want to put in peel and stick tile. What do I need to put under the tile to keep it from separating as the floor shifts due to our black clay. I had cement board, floor leveler, and backer board recommended but I'm not sure which is best or how to start. I will be doing this myself with help of one person. You need a smooth clean surface to adhere the tiles, I suggest putting down Luan sheeting over the subfloor and seal the cracks with something like Durhams Rock Putty. Since most mobile homes have a particle board subfloor, you wil probably need to replace part of it too. Then put down 1/4 " luan, primer the floor and lay the tile.
