About 5 years ago I had red oak wood flooring installed. They look great but I knowest a hole in one plank. I think it was a knot that dropped. What is the best way to fit this. Should I just use a wood filler or is there a better way?

Most time you would replace the board if you have a peice that matches.

I've talked about this wood filler before. Lowes sells it. It's in a small yellow tube with black writing. I cannot think of the name, but I am on my way to Lowes now, I will look. It worked WONDERS for my wood filling issue.

How big of a hole are we talking about here? Could you snap a picture of it?

Not sure how a knot could have fallen out unless this is a very old house with no subflooring under it.
Wood filler will stick out like a sore thumb. Far better to cut out a section of flooring and replace.
