Just wondering if wax paper works just aswell as a foam underlay for laminate floors?

No, you need to use the foam underlay that is made for laminate it's designed for laminate as there correct vapor barriers.

Ok I thought so, just heard that some people would on the subfloor on the main floor. Good to know for sure! Thanks.

NP! I have seen / heard people use laminate over carpet so the caper acts like a vapor barrier which is wrong in so many ways. Also rosin paper and asphalt paper I seen used?!? Lol again no laminate brand will warranty over any of that nor wax paper.
