Stain Remover...?
What is the best way to remove stain from my deck? I am thinking about giving it a face lift!
Just a sander?

My understanding, although I could be wrong, is that a stain as apposed to a varnish sinks into the wood and so can not be removed as it is in the wood not on the surface

I usually just do a thorough sanding and it usually takes care of it. Personally I would not manually do it, get like an automatic sander.

Give it a quick sand until you see the stain has gone, and then give it a coat. Should look as good as new.

I agree with deadmite. An automatic sander would make it a lot easier, and then just give it a coat when your done
