That whole part is exactly how I did it. I've even extended flashing. Rain and leaves slide right down house roof and over flashing, leaves get dumped a couple of feet down patio cover. If i had it to do over I'd go higher on roof instead of ledger to get more slope, cover patio with regular decked roof since its opaque any way. But this recycled tire cover was imitation clay tile on top, thought that would be all SouthWesterny, slope so shallow can't see it.
That rustic barn musta been hard to build, looks like a lot of compound angles. But notice how well galvanized roof stood up to elements, compared to rest of it.
Historical here is last building they tore down to put in parking lot.
