Tips on using Smoke Alarms
Smoke alarms are the key to your safety. More than 2/3 of home-fire deaths are as a result of bad-working smoke systems or lack of them. When the fire appears? The smoke spreads very vast and you need quick signal to let you know, you are to go out of the placement.
• Place smoke alarms in each room, outside of each sleeping areas and on each level of house, including the cellar. Connect all alarms into a system. When one begins working, all of them will do it too.
• An ionization smoke alarm is more responsive to flaming fires, and a photoelectric smoke alarm is generally more responsive to smoldering fires. For the best protection, both types of alarms and a combination alarm (photoelectric and ionization) should be placed in houses.
• Test alarms at least monthly by pushing the test button.
• Smoke rises; install smoke alarms following manufacturer's instructions high on a wall or on a ceiling. Save manufacturer's instructions for testing and maintenance.
• Replace batteries in all smoke alarms at least once a year. If an alarm “chirps”, warning the battery is low, replace the battery right away.
• Replace all smoke alarms, including alarms that use 10-year batteries and hard-wired alarms, when they are 10 years old or sooner if they do not respond properly.
• Be sure the smoke alarm has the label of a recognized testing laboratory.
• Alarms that are hard-wired (and include battery backup) must be installed by a qualified electrician.
• If cooking fumes or steam sets off nuisance alarms, replace the alarm with an alarm that has a "hush" button. A "hush" button will reduce the alarm’s sensitivity for a short period of time.
• An ionization alarm with a hush button or a photoelectric alarm should be used if the alarm is within 20 feet of a cooking appliance.
• Smoke alarms that include a recordable voice announcement in addition to the usual alarm sound, may be helpful in waking children through the use of a familiar voice.
• Smoke alarms are available for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. These devices use strobe lights. Vibration devices can be added to these alarms
• Smoke alarms are an important part of a home fire escape plan.

When you are to choose a bathroom fan, it is important to pay attention to the size of your room. According to standards, each placement must have a definite “multiplication factor” (rate of air circulation). It is a measurement of the amount of air per unit of time that flows through a particular device.
To know which fan you need you should multiply airspace by multiplication factor. After this you’ll know what should be the power of the fan.
Example: The bathroom is 3x2, 5 m, the height of the ceilings – 2, 7 m.
Capacity of the room is: 3x2, 5x2, 7=20, 25 m³
According to tables on the picture choose value of multiplication factor for bathroom. For better effectiveness we takes maximum factor equals 10.
Result: bathroom fan should have power 20, 25x10=202, 5 m³/hour
Bathroom is the wettest place in the house or flat. That’s why for its ventilation it is better to use fans for bathrooms with timer and moisture sensor. This fan for bathroom works in automatically conditions – it turns on when the moisture is higher than given mode and turns off after definite period.
N.B. For damp places it is advisable using types of waterproof fans. Their construction prevents water hitting, and appearance of short-current.

It's always a good idea to explain things and show a chart, BUT, you have explained how to get cubic meters and then show a chart that shows square meters. People come to sites like this because sales people confuse things for them. Most of the members here are in the U.S., how about if you convert this to feet for them and us older folk that still don't use meters in day to day life.
