Does this need fixing?
 

Hello,
We recently got some spot pointing done on our place. We noticed a few places where the mortar was uneven, I've attached a photo.

Is this a problem? We're not sure if we should try to fix this or just let it go. Thanks for any feedback!

Nope, unless for purely cosmetic reasons. They did leave a couple holes though.

Thanks for the feedback! Just to be 100% clear, we should ask them to path the holes but can safely ignore the mortar being uneven?

The whole wall/house should have been inspected, depending on the scope of work. Any cracks, holes, shallow or dead mortar should have been addressed.

The uneven joints are a product of poor workmanship, doesn't necessarily represent a problem. IF they are good solid joints there is no need to take any action unless you want to change the appearance.
