drilling in epoxy floor covering
 

i am working on a new rescue shelter for small animals and i need to drill and install 3/16" tapcon screws thru an epoxy floor coating in the kennells. can i do this, or will i shatter the coating?

use a mosanary bit for the size you need. The coating is not like glass, it will just drill away. If you are concerned, put a little water down like a cupfull as you drill, to cool the bit.
