How long should a mason wait after tuck pointing before applying the masonry sealant?

spending $ that's not yet necessary to start,,, IF the bricks are porous, that's another issue, tho,,, if you're comfortable w/the tuckpointer ( not all brickies are restoration guys ), ask him - he can actually SEE your wall,,, best !
