preparing freshly poured concrete for laying slate
 
I have a freshly poured outdoor
concrete patio. How should I prepare the surface before laying slate tile.

The manufacturer should have instructions on laying the tile. Or you could google for instructions.

pressure wash it before doing anything to remove the dirt that's accumulated since placing,,, slate gets laid in mortar, NOT thin-set,,, don't worry too much about it, tho, as the slate'll pop off when the water freezes - yes, even here in atlanta,,, that's why its not suggested as you wish
