Default Repointing basement

I was just wondering if this is a project I can do in the winter, since it is inside my home and temperature should stay well above freezing

Thanks in advance!

Why do you think the wall needs tuckpointing?

The house is 112 years of age and the current mortar is crumbling I would like the building to last at least until I am done living there (if I am very luck an there are advances in medical technology, maybe another 112 )

It will also be an aesthetic thing for my wife, who would like the basement to look a bit more uniform

Thanks again!

Anyone have any advice on my issue? Is there a limit to when I can repoint within my basement? Or is it something I can do year round? I live in the Midwest by the way

I think your limit would be freezing so you should be fine.
