Special rebar
 

Is there a special rebar with larger edges (ribbed) for extra holding strength when putting it in concrete bond beam blocks ?
Or will regular rebar work just fine ?

Hi Randy:
No, there is no differnce in the rebar except for some brands have a different thickness or pattern. Its just a hit or miss thing though.
If I were you, I would use 2 rebars in the bond beam, #4 bars (1/2") and lap the splices about a foot.
