Which is better STEEL or WOOD studs?
Want to finish my basement. Should I use wood or steel studs?

Just my opinion; Steel does not absorb moisture and makes for a straighter wall because they are uniform in the manufacturing process.

What ever you choose put something between that and concrete, tar paper, poly or sill gasket. Most of our work is with wood and a perfer it but I don't think steel is a problem.
