Happy New Year

I'm in the process of remodelling my house and in checking the structure
have noticed that the floor joists are 2 x 7 (true)..they have a span of 13' 2 " with 16" OC...
I believe cedar.
These joists have been there for close to 100 years and show no sign of bending stress.
They are as straight as a die and there is no bounce from above.
Although the span seems a bit much can I assume that i'm good to go?

Check for an ink stamp on the side. Cedar? #2 = 11'6" Douglas fir/Larch? #2 = 13'9" Hem/fir? #2 = 12'3" Though the '03 UBC says, 16"o.c. = 12'10" Plus your joists were green and milled thicker when installed which should account for a longer span. If they seem stiff and strong, they probably are. I don't know how to add the 1/2" extra at the side into the calculations....
