Blue Residue in bath & blue stained laundry
Hello my friends.
We're noticing blue stains in the bathtub lately. It can be scrubbed away with an antibacterial wipe and some elbow grease, so it must be some residue. Also, our white t-shirts are getting stained blue in the washing machine. We have a water softener that uses calcite, if that detail helps. Any idea on what's causing the blue and how to troubleshoot it? |
Copper can show up green or blue.

Just a guess, but I know calcite is used as a acid neutrilizer in water treatment. Apparently your water is on the acid side and that acid is dissolving your copper plumbing. Thats where the blue stains are coming from. I think you need someone to check your softener/filter setup and add calcite if needed. Hope this helps.
