converting a three handle shower to two handle
 

Hi all, can you divert a three control shower to two control without removing the main shower body? I'd like to put the diverter on the spout. thanks

No, changing the valve body is about it....

If I did anything I would consider upgrading to a pressure balanced valve...

I like consistant temperatures even when others in the home use water....

Most pressure balanced valves are single handle ones but they are also available in 2 and 3 handle models.

The article at this link does a pretty good job of explaining them along with thermostatic valves as well...
