Anyone use pex to plumb a home?

I recently had my house worked on and they replaced 98% of my plumbing with pex, only for the long runs. for the taps they used copper. Whats your question?

My plumbing is going to have to be run through the walls and pex appears to be a neater, smaller and easier for a novice to use. Wondering the thoughts of those who have used it...

That would be my first choice. If you old plumbing is the gray plastic, they are not the same and there is a fitting to join the two.

i watched the plumber install it, it was very easy to do, i guess the fittings are the most expensive.
