Replacing Sewer Line under basement floor

My main sewer line (circa 1959) is beginning to fail. My basement is finished and I don't relish the thought of demolishing walls to get to the sewer line. One plumber has a system where he digs a hole at the street, a hole in the basement and using a winch/pulley drags a new pipe from inside the house to the street. The pipe is installed in sections and welded as it goes and the old pipe is destroyed by a mechanism at the front of the cable. Anyone familiar with this and does it really work?

Haven't done it but it is being used ...

There is also an epoxy liner method:

Let us know what you end up doing! Good Luck. :D

If you were to dig it up you just tunnel under walls from each side but pulling in the new pipe is a neat system.
