STEAMBOAT

when i pull up the knob for the shower diverter to go to the shower head it takes about two seconds and the shower head jumps.i am afraid at some some point this will cause a leak at the shower head.is this the diverter causing this ? is there something else?thanks

if you have had any recent plumbing work done, or a problem with the water supply to your house, air in the system could be a likely culprit. If it's doing this consistently every time, it couldn't hurt to check the diverter, although, if it was a diverter problem, they usually wont allow all the water pressure to make it up to the shower and leak out of the tub fill.

sounds like the piping for the shower head has come loose from the wall studs.
