sink overflow cap
 

I have a kohler drop in bath sink. the overflow at the top of sink has rust around it. how do I get the plastic cap piece off without ruining it? I want to check under it and paint if rusted. thanks

got it out. heated it up with a blow dryer a little to soften it and it poped right out.
