Toilet cleaning question
Hi Guys
Are city has very hard water and we always get calcium buildup on things from it. I noticed that my toilet doesnt seem to have as much water coming out of the rim holes as it once did, I looked at the rim holes and scraped a few out with a toothpick and there was alot of calcium buildup in them. What I want to know is there any liquid that can be put into the tank safely to help loosen up some of the crud? Thanks Jeremy |
try pouring a half gallon of vinegar down the over-flow tube in the tank and let it stay over-night or for as long as you can before flushing.
sometimes this helps dissolve the deposits and aids in clearing the rim holes, follow with a cleaning with a piece of wire under the rim and the siphon hole (if your commode has one) repeat when convenient. just a thought. steve |
