I have (2) 2" PVC pipes that are what I'm guessing are intake and exhaust for the furnace, both venting out a basement window.

Due to some piping issues I need to slightly re-route these two pipes which will now have 3 or 4 elbows. Is this bad for the furnace and maybe not pass code in some areas? The total distance is only around 15 feet.

Look up your manufacturers instructions for the model you have, it will depend on each unit.
Probably not a big deal, but you need to find out or it may shut the unit down.

There is Total Equivalent Length for elbows and it is given in terms of feet of straight pipe, so an elbow might be equal to 3' of straight pipe in flow resistance. Of course, I lost the link to this. You could try the Engineering Toolbox site.

I suppose the furnace efficiency could be reduced to even lower values so then it becomes "How much more are you paying each month for this unorthodox piping?" and "What are your alternatives?"
