Does anyone have any experience with metal roofing?

I'm needing to replace my 30 year Certainteed Supremes (that only lasted 11 years).

I want to put a metal roof on now as it will be he last for me.

I will want to tear off the old down to the sheeting which is 1X6s. There are small gaps between the 1bys and I'm wondering if that will be a problem with the metal roofing?

What seems to be the best metal roofing to buy?
