Repairing Fading J-Channel
 

I am looking for an easy-out on repairing weather worn j-Channel above round windows. I am hoping to cover it and avoid removing the siding to completely replace it. I have 2 large half-moons and the old j-channel is really an eye sore. Any products out there to wrap it or cover it somehow?

Without a picture it's anyones guess how it was done.
Most often it was done with flexable J molding.
Even when new to me it looks dingy.
A good cleaning and an a coat of 100% acrilex latex paint should make it look like new.
