Is there a mold issue when siding a block house
 

Currently there is a stucco finish that has some cracking, which seems to be pulling away from the block. We want to use vinyl siding but are concerned that moisture will form between the siding and block and become a mold problem. Any advice or first hand experiences would be appreciated. Thanks.
